Peta is an experienced Financial Services professional with a passion for helping people make sense of financial markets. Peta created Cygura to help simplify compliance, and in the process has been instrumental in the development of industry guidelines and best practice around the protection of investors. She has worked with top firms NAB, Westpac, Suncorp, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, Morgan Stanley, UBS, and GSJBW in both Retail & Wholesale markets. Peta is also a member of the Financial Advice and Services Council of FINSIA.
Connah Cutbush
CTO
Connah joined the team from the get-go as our resident technology and big data expert. He leads the system development & support team for Cygura. Connah has extensive experience in developing innovative mobile, web and cloud based software solutions for business, and has previously held roles as an index Analyst, Senior Quantitative Programmer, Analyst Programmer at Macquarie Group.
Darren Howlin
INTEGRATION ADVISER
Darren has extensive technology and financial services experience gained at Suncorp, Lonsec, and Research IP. He has designed and developed distributed ledger technology used by governments as part of their pension systems. Darren's expertise is used in both Australia and New Zealand, and delivers better outcomes for clients.
Sophisticated Access now forms a part of investment research and technology group Research IP, where Darren is the Managing Director.
Lara Elgey
BRAND MARKETING
Lara Elgey is a marketing professional with 20 years experience in financial services and a firm belief that best practice client service is imperative to business success. Prior to her role at Cygura, Lara has consulted to a range of financial services and professional services organisations, launching some truly innovative online and offline financial projects and services. She has also held senior marketing management positions at Suncorp, Clayton Utz and the Australian Stock Exchange.
Michael Jackson
ADVISOR
Michael advises on the establishment of business systems and project delivery. He has extensive experience in senior management and corporate performance in both the private and public sectors. He founded Partnered Solutions, developer of Envisia software and most recently, Michael was Director and partner in Stewart Constructions.
Penny Coombs
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
Penny has had more than 20 years’ experience in administrative support roles. She is responsible for keeping Cygura running like clockwork, drawing on her vast experience in managing staff, organising vendors, and performing other related client and administrative services.
